Rajouri to celebrates India’s likely victory over Pakistan
World Cup Semifinal at Mohali

RAJOURI, Mar 28: Both Hindu and Muslim communities of border district of Rajouri have decided to celebrate jointly if Indian cricket team wins the Semifinal contest against Pakistan on March 30 at Mohali.
Decision was taken by both the communities here on Monday evening during a joint meeting convened by district administration Rajouri in the office chamber of DDC Rajouri G.A.Khawaja. In fact, keeping in view the apprehension of any tension created by vested interests on the scheduled day, Rajouri administration convened a joint meeting of prominent citizens belonging to different political parties and religious faiths.
Administration has taken this step keeping in view the past track record of district for its communal clash background. However, the civil and police administration was surprised to know that the citizens of Rajouri had already decided to celebrate the victory jointly if India won. This initiative was taken jointly by Bhartiya Janta Party senior leader Advocate Vibodh Gupta and senior PDP leader Mohammad Shafi Dar.
Idea shared by Mohammad Shafi Dar was endorsed by all prominent citizens present in the meeting. Congress leader, lovely Gupta shared another interesting idea that POK visiting guests in Rajouri will be greeted by them if their country won. This point was also endorsed by all citizens as good will gesture step. All the participants prayed for peace and friendship between two rival countries.
