DSC constitutes committee to examine fee hike by private schools | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 28: Director School Education (DSC) has constituted a committee which includes some members from CBSE affiliated schools and JKBOSE affiliated institutions and has asked them to meet the committee after two days to decide the fee hike by the private educational institutions. The private educational institutes whose are affiliated to the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) and Centre Board of School Education (CBSE), are increasing their monthly and annually fee every year, despite the clear guidelines given by the government that fee hike should be subject to govt directions. According to the sources, the private schools have increased the annual fee comparing to the last year from Rs 4500 to Rs 6000 . He also disclosed that the admission fee is being charged to Rs.25000 to Rs.30000 from each student, the monthly fee has been enhanced from Rs.1200 to Rs.1500 thus causing great injustice to the students of private schools. Notably, the government had directed the private schools to admit about 25% students of BPL in their institution without charging any fee from them. But neglecting this direction government the private education institutes looting them at their own way. The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Jammu Sanjeev Verma along with Director School Education, Jammu Gulzar Qureshi and Chief Education Officer, (CEO), Jammu Natha Ram Digra hold a meeting in this regard.
