| Regional Rural Extension Training Centre organized Training Camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, MAR 29- Regional Rural Extension Training Centre, R. S. Pura, organized “Training Camp on Planning and Management of Indira Awaas Yojna” at Chenani for the field staff of Rural Development Department
The training camp was attended by Junior Engineers/Works Supervisors/Panchayat Inspector/Gram Sevaks/MPWs/Nehru Yuva Volunteers/IAY beneficiaries
In his inaugural address, Principal Regional Rural Extension Training Centre B. K. Pandita said that housing is the basic requirement of all human beings. Provision of housing for all the houseless rural poor has become a major challenge and is thus given priority by the authorities For living dignified life, adequate housing with the minimum basic requirements is essential.
He said effective implementation of Indira Awaas Yojna for providing shelter to houseless rural poor depends on proper coordination among different implementing agencies and proper planning and management of the scheme. Adequate awareness of this Flagship Scheme shall help in achieving the ‘National Goal’ of providing housing facility and house sites for better living of rural houseless.
Further he said there is need of imparting awareness of the Scheme particularly at the grass root level for better results and for coverage of eligible households and exclusion of ineligible households under the programme.
Thereafter the R. K. Koul, guest faculty also delivered the lecture on different topics.
The Block Development Officer Block Chenani Dr. Arvind Karwani also addressed the participants of the Training Programme and thanked the organizers for holding such training at Block Level itself. |
