| FDR constituted to aware masses about short coming of democracy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Mar 29: Forum for Democratic Rights (FDR) organised a meeting at Rajouri. It was presided over by Forum President. Zahirudin.
Purpose of the meeting was to introduce the program and constitution of the Forum and form a unit in Rajouri.
In his address, Zahirudin said, “There are a lot of political parties in our region but the purpose of our organisation is to create awareness among masses about the short coming of our democracy. Our constitution gives us a lot of rights but there is a systematic failure in implementing our constitution. Our organization would standby all the struggles of the masses, for their survival.”
He added that there are people struggling all around the world for better society and we have to play our role for the betterment of the society. We should work for the entire humanity leaving aside the barriers of caste, class, race, gender, religion, region and nation. He also asked like-minded people to join the forum and work together for the society.
Forum’s executive member Shiv Nandan said that the need of the hour is to create a space for discussions and debates on various issues, which will help in enlarging the overall democratic space in the society.
The Forum also formed a coordination committee. Kishori Lal Sharma, (retd. Youth
Services and Sports Officer), Vishal Sharma, Avinaash, Monika, Susheel Kumar,
Waheed Rana and Nisha are part of that committee. The Forum also decided to organise a bigger public meeting in Rajouri as soon as possible.
