| Khajuria concludes 3-day tour of Chenani | | | JAMMU NOV-14 Former Minister and Vice-President Pradesh Congress Committee Yashpaul Khajuria concluded his 3-day extensive tour of various parts of Chenani-Dudu in Udhampur district and took stock of the developmental works under execution and the problems confronting the people in remote and far flung areas of the District. Addressing public meetings at Bashat, Sudhmahadev, Kosar, Mantalai Latti-Duona and several other places, Khajuria enumerated the steps taken by the Congress led coalition government for accelerating the pace of development and improving the basic amenities. During his tour people put forward their demands and sought his intervention for their early redressal. The demands made included provision of drinking water, construction of school buildings, up gradation of schools, opening of dispensaries, inclusion of Patwar Latti, Chapper, Jakhed Dudu and Pachound with tehsil headquarter Chennani, repairs of Ganderboga electric line, construction of Jakhed-Gursalla road, up gradation of schools at Dud, Marothi, Bupp and Jakhed besides opening of Youja University at Aparna Ashram Mantalai. The other demands made related to regularization of 35 employees of Aparna Ashram Mantalai, construction of Karlah-Gouri Kund road, engagement of local youth as ReT teachers, construction of bridge over Nallah Haridwar and opening of Degree College at Mantalai. The Congress leader assured the people that he would apprise the Chief Minister about their problems and demands and would also arrange a visit of Azad and AICC President Mrs Sonia Gandhi to Mantalai. During the tour, Khajuria was accompanied by Krishan Chander Bhagat working president DDC Udhampur , Ashok Gupta, Gulzar Singh, Jaswant Singh Block President Chennai, Gopal Sharma General Secretary Chennai, Vijay Manhas Block President Udhampur , Vijay Laxmi President Mahila Congress a and President Youth Congress Committee Chennai.
