Budding Cup: Fine 45-run win for Young Guns

JAMMU, Mar 29: Sailing on all-round performance from Rattandeep Singh and brilliant spell by Agrim, Young Guns trounced Hari Cricket Club by 45 runs in the opening tie of 1st Simula Budding Cricketers Cup U-14 tournament, which started today at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, batting first, Young Guns made 121 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs with Rattandeep, Subrat, Mabal and Ankush contributing 17, 16, 14 and 9 runs respectively. Extras contributed highest 48 runs. Himanshu and Sagar bagged two wickets each for Hari Cricket Club while Dheeraj took one.
In reply, Hari Club struggled against the disciplined bowling by Young Guns bowlers and bundled-out for a meager total of 76 runs, thus lost the match by 45 runs. Rishab (15), Himanshu (14) and Mohinder (eight) were the main contributors. Agrim took three wickets while Rattandeep and Shantanu shared two each from Young Guns Cricket Club. The match was officiated by Madan Lal, Pappu Dogra and Yogesh Sharma.
