| Civil Defence holds training camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, MAR-29:- Civil Defence Organization, Udhampur organized a one day awareness camp at Industrial Training Institute, Udhampur here today.
Over 200 Students were trained in various aspect of civil defence like disaster management, fire fighting, first Aid, air raids etc during the awareness camp.
Deputy Controller, Civil Defense, Bodh Raj, Chairman, Management Committee, ITI, Udhampur, Arun Parkash Gupta, Deputy Chief Wardens, Ved Parkash and Advocate Swantantar Dev Kotwal, Civil Defence Wardens besides staff and students of ITI attended the programme.
Deputy Controller, Civil Defence, while speaking on the occasion told that in addition to the twelve services of the civil defence, regular awareness programmes on Disaster Management, Global warming and Community Policing are also being organized by the organization in different parts of the district for the benefit of the common masses.
Deputy Chief Wardens of Civil Defence, Udhampur delivered lectures on the different aspects of civil defence and measures to be adopted for safeguarding life and property in the event of man made or natural disaster.
On the occasion live demonstrations of different rescue operations and use of equipments in the disaster management were also organized.
