| BJP MLA constructs lane, fulfills equal development | | | EARLY TIMES
Jammu, Mar 30: Fulfilling his commitment for equal development of all the areas of constituency, BJP MLA from Jammu East Ashok Khajuria, alongwith BJP district Jammu president Rajesh Gupta, got the construction of lane from the house of DIG Suleiman Salaria to the house of Manjit Singh in Kucha Samundar Khan of Mohalla Dalpatian in Talab Khateekan of Ward No. 5 started in presence of a large number of local people and party activists.
Khajuria, on this occasion, said that he had been receiving repeated complaints that the said lane was in very bad condition and it was creating hurdles for the small vehicles and people passing through it.
The residents living in the area were made to suffer as the lane had been dug by the NBCC for laying of sewerage pipes but was not properly repaired and made fit for use. He said an amount of rupees 3.25 lakh will be spent on the lane and on completion it will solve the problem of the people.
The MLA said that it is not only the area where people have been made to suffer due to digging by NBCC.
There are number of areas in Jammu city where NBCC has taken the work into hand and left incomplete, thus creating problems for the people.
He asked the government to take serious note of the working of NBCC and make it clear that people should not be made to suffer and NBCC should move to other areas only after proper covering and blacktoping/ tiles fixing is done in the areas which have been dug.
Shiv Kumar Gupta, Sanjeev Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Sunil Dogra, Kuldeep Kandhari, Bararsi Angral, Salaria, Paramjit Singh, Kulwant, Tarseem, Chaman Lal, Master Jia Lal, Kamesh Koul and Surinder Singh were present on the occasion.
