| CD holds awareness cum demonstration camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, MARCH-30 - Civil Defence Organization Udhampur organized a one day awareness cum demonstration camp at Kalra College of Education, Udhampur under the supervision of Deputy Controller, Civil Defense, Udhampur, Mr. Bodh Raj, here today.
Director, Kalra College of Education, Mrs. Rita Kalra was the chief guest on the occasion.
Principal of Kalra College of Education, Mrs Ranjna Sharma, Deputy Chief Wardens, Mr. Ved Parkash and Advocate Swantantar Dev Kotwal, Civil Defence Wardens, staff and students of college attended the programme.
Deputy Chief Wardens of Civil Defence, Udhampur delivered detailed lectures on the different measures to be adopted for safeguarding life and property in the event of man made or natural disaster.
Director, Kalra College of Education, while speaking on the occasion lauded the role of Civil Defence organization, Udhampur for holding training camp in the premises of college for the benefit of students and hoped that the effort would go a long way in protecting the precious lives and property in the event of war, break out of fire and other exigencies effectively.
On the occasion live demonstrations of different rescue operations and use of equipments in the disaster management were also organized by the trained instructor of the Civil Defence Udhampur.
