Ladakh students face problems

JAMMU, Mar 30: Life is not easy for Ladakhi students seeking education in Jammu and elsewhere. Around 2500 students from Leh and 1500 students from Kargil are seeking education in Jammu. Among them the most number of students are at bachelors’ level doing their graduations in different streams at different colleges of Jammu. Next to them are the higher secondary level students which are also in large number at different schools in Jammu. A good number of students are at post graduation level at the lone university of Jammu.

The students have been facing problems ranging from cooking their meals to shortage of money to meet their expenses. The students said they face problems looking for accommodation.
“The scholarship which government provides to the students is not enough to cater to out needs”, said the students.

The students have sought a university at ladakh. This, according to them, will solve all of their problems.
