| SPO rescues himself from militants’ clutches, sustain gun shot wounds | | |

Militants shot at a SPO when he tried to escape from their captivity in Kishtwar area of Doda district today.
According to reports Darshan Kumar posted as SPO with a National Conference leader Bashir Ahmed was returning home after performing his duties. On his way back home, some unidentified militant appeared on the road and kidnapped him on the gunpoint .He was taken to the nearby forests, however, he managed to give a slip to the captivators and escaped upon which the militants fired on him resulting injuries in his leg. Apprehending him dead the militants fled away from the spot. The injured SPO was later shifted to Hospital for treatment.
On his disclosure, the Police team launched a search operation in the area to apprehend the militants. The operation was still in progress when the reports last came in.
