Rajiv Tourney: 3-wkt win for Challenger

JAMMU, Mar 31: Challenger Cricket Club defeated HCC by three wickets to advance in the ongoing Rajiv Gandhi Memorial (T20) Cricket Tournament at MA Stadium, here today.
The HCC, after winning the toss and batting first made paltry 99 for nine with Farooq chipping in with 24 runs followed by Sami (21), Habib (12) and Yasir (10). Raju and Rajan scalped three wickets each for Challenger CC while Parvinder and Sameer took one wicket each.
Chalenger Club, in reply chased the target in 19.4 overs by losing seven wickets in the process, thus won the match by three wickets. Shubam Khajuria played a brilliant innings of 59 runs in 51 balls with the help of six magnificent boundaries. Sourav contributed 12 runs to the total. For HCC, Habib took 23 wickets while Sadiq and Showkat claimed one each. Shubam Khajuria was adjudged man of the match for his superb batting display.

Stadium XI wins in U-14 cricket

Meanwhile, in under-14 1st Simula Budding Cricketers Tournament, Stadium XI drubbed Goswami Academy by five wickets at MA Stadium today.
Batting first, Goswami Academy scored 90 for seven in 20 overs. Tushar (Sr) was main scorer with 38 runs while Tushar and Shaurya contributed 12 and nine runs respectively.
Akash took two wickets for Stadium XI while Rishab Gupta and Hiteshwar Singh took one wicket each.
Stadium XI chased the target in 19.4 overs. Hiteshwar Singh was the main scorer with 32 runs while Nipun made 23 runs. For Goswami Academy, Pushpinder picked two wickets while Dawood, Rishab and Suriya claimed one wicket each. Hiteshwar Singh was adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance.
