Non-Gazetted employees call on CS | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 31: A deputation of Civil Secretariat Non-Gazetted Employees Union led by its president Nazir Ahmed, called on the Chief Secretary and presented a charter of demands. The demands contained in the charter pertained to creation of 30 posts of Section Officers of Civil Secretariat; Reviewing of impractical roadmap; Release of 100 percent arrears of 6th Pay Commission; Removal of lock in period as the same extends the date of computation for withdrawal under GPF rules up to 2017; Immediate release of 6% DA installment from January 2011; Conduct of crash courses of practical training for SOs and Head Assistants of Secretariat; and Enhancement of TMA from Rs 650 to Rs 1000. Union president reiterated that it was high time that Government meets the aspirations of common employees, which otherwise also is in the best interests of the socio-economy of the State. Besides this the public commitment thus made should also be fulfilled, he asserted. He also called for rationalization of services, which were formulated decades ago, in order to rejuvenate the Secretariat services. The meeting was held in a cordial manner. Chief Secretary listened to the deputation with patience and assured that all the demands were already in focus were under active consideration and held that new projected demands would be considered in priority.22nd Convocation of Indira Gandhi National Open University to be held on April 2.
