| Two learners from Jammu get Gold | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 31: The 22nd Convocation of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will be held on April 2 at IGNOU Headquarters and simultaneously at its 61 Regional Centres including Regional Centre Jammu via tele-conferencing.
Union Minister for Human Resource Development Kapil Sibbal shall deliver the Convocation address at IGNOU Headquarters at Maidan Garhi, New Delhi.
At Jammu, the Convocation will be held at Auditorium, Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Minister for Higher Education, J&K, Abdul Gani Malik, will be the Guest of Honour on this occasion at Regional Centre Jammu and will award Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates to the Learners. IGNOU Regional Centre Jammu will also honour distinguished personalities associated with IGNOU and some special students on the event.
It is a matter of great pleasure and pride for IGNOU Regional Centre Jammu that two of our Learners namely Sheetu Raina of MA (Public Administration) programme and Satnam Singh of MA (Sociology) programme have brought laurels to the City of Temples by getting Gold Medals in their respective programmes. It is pertinent to mention here that these two learners have topped in their respective programmes throughout the Country. Satnam Singh has also been chosen for Prof. Ram Reddy Memorial Gold 2011.
