| 4 Bills introduced in LA | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 31: Four Bills were introduced in the House today. Minister for Tourism and Culture, Nawang Rigzin Jora, on the behalf of Chief Minister introduced a Bill to provide for efficient use of energy and its conservation and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto (L.A. Bill No. 12 of 2011).
Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Rahim Rather, on behalf of Minister of State for Cooperatives, introduced a Bill to amend the J&K Cooperative Societies Act-1989 (L.A. Bill No. 14 of 2011). Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Ali Mohammad Sagar introduced a Bill to amend the J&K Panchayati Raj Act-1989 (L.A. Bill No. 13 of 2011).
Minister of State for Revenue, Nasir Aslam Wani introduced a Bill to prohibit the conversion of Agricultural Land for Non-Agricultural purposes in the State and for related matters. Minister for Industries and Commerce, S. S. Salathia laid on the table of the House copies of Audit Report for the year 2005-06 and 2006-07.
House also passed Bills to amend the Stamp Act, Samvat-1977 (L.A. Bill No. 9 of 2011) and Bill to amend the Registration Act, Samvat-1977 (L.A. Bill No. 10 of 2011), already introduced in the House.
