| Slathia distributes VRS/GHS cheques among JKIL employees | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 31: Minister for Industries and Commerce S S Slathia today distributed cheques amounting to Rs 16.17 crore among the 213 employees of Jammu and Kashmir Industrial Limited under Voluntary Retirement Scheme(VRS) and Golden Handshake(GHS) at Udyog Bhawan Jammu.
The employees belonged to Government Silk factory, Jammu, Government Modern rosin and turpentine factory, Miran Sahib, Government R&T Factory, Rajouri, Government R&T Sunderbani, Government Sale leather plant, Muthi.
Slathia appreciated the role of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Finance Minister Rather also for resolving all issues and settling the pending claim of JKIL workers. He said that JKIL has played major role in providing succour to the personnel working in this Agency.
The Minister, however, advised the employees to make judicious use of this money which has been received under VRS/GHS age, so that they can live happy old age life.
Director Industries, Managing Director SICOP, Managing Director SIDCO and concerned officials were present on the occasion.
