Facilitate Hajj pilgrimage of militants’ innocent relatives: Tarigami
4/1/2011 8:48:40 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, April 1: CPI (M) legislator M Y Tarigami today pleaded for issuing passports to the innocent relatives of the militants in the assembly.
He said that some people in Kashmir had been arrested on suspicion as every Kashmiri had turned suspect during turbulent times, on the basis of which lot many people in the past were arrested once.
He said this suspicion led to registration of their names in the computerized list of the CIK, which he said is made ground for non issuance of passports in their favour in certain cases. There is no trial registered in any court of law against them, he clarified, stressing that they must be readily given passports on applying for the same to facilitate their Hajj pilgrimage.
