| CRPF 96TH batallion celebrates its 24th raising day | | | Sahil Suhail

ANANTNAG, April 1: The 96th Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today celebrated its 24th raising day in a befitting manner at Mattan, Anantnag.
Battalion came into existence on 1988 with its first headquarter at Ajmeer of Rajasthan. This day is celebrated as foundation day of the Battalion.
The function was organized under the chairmanship of H.S Kales, Commanding Officer,
96BN. On this auspicious occasion, the senior most officers present hoisted a new flag at Quarter Guard and took salute.
Commanding Officer briefed the troops about the importance of the day. A fete was also held at the parade ground and various events marked the occasion in which CRPF troops, families, and children and nearby villagers participated enthusiastically.
On the sidelines of the function CO 96BN said, “The basic aim to celebrate Raising Day is gave a massage to Kashmiri people that we are also a part of your society, so that they can understand us and we can understand them.”
However, the officer denied that there is a gap between the Security Forces and People.
