Pvt schools illegally charging annual fee, alleges Parents Asso | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 1: All J&K School & College Parents’ Association (AJKSCPA) alleged today that the private schools are taking advantage of the fragile attitude of the parents and illegally charging the annual/promotion fees forcefully every year. Addressing a press conference jointly here today, NK Gupta and Ravi Sharma said that as per the SRO-123, the Govt. of J&K has made it compulsory for all private schools to seek the advice and permission of parent association before hiking their wards’ fees. They further said that it is also mandatory under SRO-123 private schools can't prescribe the books of private publishers other than those has been prescribed by NCERT, JKBOSE and CBSE. JKSCPA pledges to takes steps to stop exploitation of parents and commercialization of education by private schools and unauthorized coaching centres. The AJKSCPA appealed to all the expert educationists to join the association for the benefit of parents as well as students. The association also requests the Commissioner Secretary School Education and Minister for School Education to look into the matter at the earliest and take effective steps so that the Private Schools and coaching centres may not be able to cheat the innocent parents in future.
