| Inter college sports meet held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua 1 April, An inter college sports meet was organized by the Rajiv Gandhi College of Education at sports stadium Kathua.
In inter college sports meet Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College of Education, Surya College of education, Guru Gang Dev College of education and T.D.S College participated with full enthusiasm in various sports activities. The sports activities such as short put and 100 meter race for both boys and girls were conducted where as in short put (boys) student of TDS College Kulbir Singh got first position, Mahinder Singh of Gang Dev College clinched second and Sanjay Sharma of Surya College got third position.
From girls side in shorput Kunti Devi of Surya College got first, Ramna of Gang Dev got second and Kanchan Sharma of Rajiv Gandhi Memorial college of Education got third position. In the event of 100 meter race from boys side Kamal and Gorav of Rajiv Gandhi college got first and second position respectively while Ajay Kumar of Surya college got third position where as from girls side Shama of G.G college got first Suman Bala of TDS college got second and Jyoti of Surya college stood for third.
On the occasion the Chief Medical Officer Kathua Ashok Chopra was the chief guest and also stressed upon the students to take more and more part in the sports activities because sports is very important to develop the values of unity, health, peace and prosperity in the society.
In the last he distributed he mementoes among the winners and participants of the sports activities. On the occasions the principal of Surya College Sharuti Pathania, G.P Sachdev, chairman of the Rajiv Gandhi College Anu Dogra, and director Pankaj Dogra College were present.
