| ‘Importance of nutrition’ | | Painting, essay writing competition organized | | JAMMU | NOV 14 The women and child development, government of India organized universal children day in collaboration with activity public higher secondary school, Janipur here today. Painting and Essay writing competitions on the importance of nutrition was held in which 65 students participate. Deputy Director Health services Dr. Kailash Kohli was the chief guest. Yoeesh Verma, Meenakshi Bali and Diksha Sharma were adjudged Ist, 2nd and 3rd in essay competition while Sakshi Dogra, Neha Katochm Vivek Gupta, and Kanav Rishi were adjudged 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the on spot painting competition. Speaking on occasion Dr. Kohli emphasized upon the reorient the diet of children as 50-60% of children are anaemic due to family food habits. Nutrition expert women and child development asked children and their parents to health conscious as children getting fascinated by junk food which is a great threat to future health of children. Manohar Gupta, Chairman activity public school exhorted upon students to inculculate the spirit of nationalism & dedicated their energy in building the nation becoming good citizens. Asst. Director Health Education bureau dr. J.S Khoria, Devinder Bakshi, Rishi Gupta, principal of the school also spoke on the occasion.
