JAMMU, Apr 1: Taking cognizance of complaints lodged by locals, District Magistrate Jammu today asked Jammu and Kashmir excise department for checking charges of tickets in theatres displaying live cricket matches.
In an official handout issued here today, District Magistrate has maintained that he received several complaints regarding some multiplexes, theaters and hotels displaying live cricket matches and charging exorbitant prices for the tickets. He has asked the excise department to find out whether these theatres are legally authorized to run these shows and print tickets, what could be the charges of these tickets, and could these tickets be printed while adding that it should be done since operation of such shows effects general public.
