Jammu writers allege discrimination by Director Libraries | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 1:Writers and Publishers of Jammu have sought immediate intervention of Chief Minister for redressal of their grievances, who allegedly are being discriminated by the Director of Libraries, Jammu. As per a press handout released by the Writers and Publishers Association, Jammu, this year, the Director placed orders with Writers & Publishers of Valley to the extent of 99.10% ignoring the rightful claims of Jammu based writers and publishers. The release further said that Association had met the Director on March 7, 2010 and expressed displeasure over his discriminatory and arbitrary decision and instead of redressing the genuine grievances of Writers & Publishers of Jammu, the Director arrogantly refused to accommodate them on the ground that all the funds had exhausted on purchasing books from writers/ publishers from Kashmir. The Writers & Publishers Association Jammu humbly requested Chief Minister to see to this discrimination immediately and redress the grievances. At the same time the Association also humbly requests Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly M.A Lone to interfere.
