WCC wins by 46 runs in Rajiv Cricket

JAMMU, April 01: Patel Cricket Club (PCC) lost to Whites Cricket Club (WCC) by 46 runs in the ongoing 2nd Rajiv Gandhi Memorial (T20) Cricket Tournament, organised by Young Star Cricket Club at MA Stadium, here today.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, WCC made 131 runs losing seven wickets in the process. Ravi Pandita was the highest scorer with 32 runs, including four hits to the fence. Pranav Mahajan contributed 23 runs while Sourav Gupta and Rakesh Koul added 16 and 14 runs respectively. From PCC, Madan bowled well and took away three wickets. Sunny, Varinder and Balbir claimed one wicket each.
In reply, PCC bowled out for a meager total of 85 runs as Vivek Singh, Pranav and Rakesh plotted their collapse with disciplined bowling. Sunny Chaudhary was top scorer with 23 runs while Ashwani, Balbir and Mithun made 15, 12 and nine runs respectively. Vivek Singh was most successful bowler from WCC with four wickets, followed by Pranav, who took three. Rakesh clinched two wickets and Kunal one. For his fabulous all-round display, Pranav was adjudged man of the match.

Mayank Academy wins in U-14

Mayank Goswami Academy registered a 16 runs win over Young Guns Club in the ongoing 1st Simula Budding Cricketers Tournament at MA Stadium, today.
Goswami Academy scored 122 for the loss of six wickets in allotted 20 overs with Surya making power-packed 65 runs in 49 balls. Suryan and Sahil contributed 20 and 19 runs respectively. Extras contributed 11 runs. Harsh was most successful bowler with three wickets from while Arjun took one.
Later, Young Guns bundled-out for 106 runs in 19.5 overs, thus lost the match by 16 runs. Arjun scored 26 runs while Rattandeep and Harsh added 23 and 12 respectively. From Goswami Academy, Sahil took two wickets while Ashraf, Rishab and Surya shared apiece each. Surya was declared man of the match for his brilliant knock of 65 runs.
Today’s matches were officiated by Madan Lal, Pappu Dogra and Rakesh Sharma.
