Work on Artificial Lake on Tawi likely to restart | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, April 1: Artificial Lake project over river Tawi is likely to take off in the days ahead since the project design has been approved and government of Pakistan has also lifted objections on the construction of artificial lake. It is pertinent to mention here that the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has approved design of artificial lake. A team of experts from Pakistan inspected the project of artificial lake. Official source said that the project will take time but after completion of the project, it will be beneficial for the tourism department and state government. He also said that the design and other necessary documents were submitted to the Central Water Commission about six months back till date the proposal has not been passed by the concerned authorities. Minister for Irrigation and Flood Control, Taj Mohi-ud-Din said that Pakistan expert team has lifted objections on artificial lake on River of Tawi, which they had raised before.
