| 7 denied bail for abetting suicide | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, April-02:- The court of Judicial Magistrate RS Pura Manjeet Rai rejected the bail application of seven accused a involved in abetment to suicide one Sohan Lal.
The Miran Sahib police arrested Natha Ram, Raj Kumar both real brothers, Davinder Kumar alias Thoba, Rajinder Kumar alias Billu s/o Natha Ram, Romesh Lal, Dev Raj and Rajinder Kumar alias Pinku all resident of Tootray Tehsil RS Pura who were arrested on March 9, 2011 u/s 306/34 RPC. According to report the Kalu Ram one of the accused is yet to be arrested. It is further submitted that the daughter of accused Natha Ram was allegedly abducted by one Mohan Lal r/o Tootray, the age of the daughter is said to be 18 years. The accused party and the relatives of the abducted girl used to terrorize and harass the family member of the complainant. The complainant Madan Lal shifted with his family members and forced to leave his native village. It was further alleged that the son of the complainant namely Sohan Lal committed suicide due to harassment and terror meted out to him by the above mentioned 8 persons including absconder Kalu Ram.
The Court after hearing the parties dismissed the bail application on the ground that the seriousness of offence for the commission which the accused persons have been arrested and no prima-facie case made out for granting bail, as such the bail application is dismissed. JNF
