SISI ORGANISES AWARENESS-CUM-MOTIVATION PROGRAMME FOR EDUCATED UNEMPLOYED YOUTH

JAMMU, November 15
Small Industries Service Institute (SISI), Ministry of Small Scale Industries, Government of India, J&K, Jammu in association with I.T.I. Sunderbani, organized a One Day Industrial Awareness-cum-Motivation Programme at Industrial Training Institute, Sunderbani. The main objective of this campaign was to develop entrepreneurship skills among the educated unemployed youths of district. Rajouri.
The programme was inaugurated by Shri C.R. Kahajuria, Block Development Officer, Sunderbani. While addressing the unemployed youths, he advised the youth to get themselves employed by starting small & micro industry as there are limited jobs in Government Sector. He advised the participants to take advantage of this Industrial Awareness Programme. Officers from different departments delivered lectures about policies/activities of their departments which can help the youth in starting their ventures. He also thanked Small Industries Service Institute (J&K) Jammu for organizing the said programme in the industrially backward District Rajouri.
Sh. Asadulah Shah, Dy. Director Employment, Rajouri, while speaking on the role of Employment Office & its schemes advised the participants to take the advantage of this Awareness Industrial Campaign organized by the SISI, J&K, Jammu. Shri I J Khushu, Dy. Director, SISI ,J&K, Jammu , while addressing the gathering fully discused the policies & programme of SISI in development of Small Scale Sector. He informed the participants about some viable projects which can easily be taken up by the unemployed youth to get self employment. Shri Khushu discussed projects on Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Agro based, Chemical Computer, IT & other projects which have a good scope in this region. He told the participants to come forward & take maximum benefit out of this programme in view of growing unemployment & less chances of getting employed in the State as well Central Government Departments. He emphasized the participants to identify any activity seek the help & guidance of the SISI in setting up any tiny industry having potential in this area.
Shri Vinay Bhushan , Manager Extension, DIC, Rajouri also spokes on the schemes & incentives provided by his office.
Sh. K.K. Bhat, Branch Manager ,J&K Bank, discussed various schemes for which bank can provide loan to entrepreneurs. He assured the participants to come forward with project profile in consultation with SISI for which loan will be considered . Representatives from KVIB, Employment, DIC, ITI, Financial Institution also spelt out their role for the development of micro & small scale industry in this area.
Sh. Mandeep Dogra, Superintendent, ITI,Sunderbani while delivering vote of thanks, requested SISI, Jammu to conduct similar type of awareness programme in future. He also requested to organize one month Product-cum-Process Developmernt EDPs for the beneficiaries of this institute.
150 participants, which included 45 women entrepreneurs and Senior Citizens of the Sunderbani area , attended this work.
