Hideout busted, huge cache of arms, ammunition recovered | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 3: Security forces have busted a militant hideout and recovered a huge cache of arms in Malhas village of Reasi district last night. In an operation carried out jointly by Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) and J&K Police, the troops busted a natural cave hideout near Nala in vicinity of Malhas village, defence officials said A huge cache of arms hidden by terrorists was also recovered from the spot. The weapons dumped in the hideout were very lethal and could have caused lot of damage to life and property, they added. The recoveries included seven UBGL rounds, two hand grenades (Pak made), five LMG magazines, five rifle magazines, six radio set antennas and one detonator, they said, adding that in the recent past numerous hideouts of terrorists have been busted and caches being recovered in the area of Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform). The officials attributed the success to the strong intelligence network of the security forces and also the willingness of the locals to cooperate with the Rashtriya Rifles units in the area of responsibility of Uniform Force.
