Develop official website for district Kishtwar: Sheikh Nasir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KISHTWAR, April 4: Youth Congress leader Sheikh Nasir Hussain has appealed the authorities to create an official web site for the district Kishtwar on the pattern of rest of the districts of the state. In a press statement issued here today, Sheikh Nasir has said that it is matter of great concern that in the present era of technology, the authorities have failed to create a web site of the district for the last four years. He said that the Kishtwar was given district status in April 2007 and since then despite repeated requests the authorities have failed to develop a web site for the reasons best known to them, whereas every district of the state is having their own official website carrying all information and necessary data about the respective districts. Nasir said that for a little information one has to run from one office to another to collect the same as there is no information available officially on the net adding that there is huge tourism potential in the area, besides having picturesque landscape the area has many famous shrines and ancient sites with historical background, which can attract thousands of tourists in case they are provided with authentic information. The Congress leader said that besides providing information regarding the tourist places and other facts to the outsiders the web site can also be beneficial for the locals to know about the developmental process, implementation of government schemes as well as utilization of funds. Sheikh Nasir Hussain has urged upon the government to direct the concerned authorities to create the official website of the mountainous district Kishtwar with all necessary information without any further delay.
