| Bus Stand Shopkeepers welcome ban on buses at Railway Station | | | Jammu, Nov 15 Welcoming the ban imposed by the Jammu railway station authorities on the entry of J&K SRTC and private buses within the station premises, from where these picked up passengers for Katra and Kashmir, Shopkeepers Association General Bus Stand, Jammu has demanded that buses of all routes should have their terminus and starting point at the general bus stand Jammu only. A meeting of the association held here today under the Chairmanship of Ashwani Sharma, President of the Association also thanked the government for shelving the plan mooted by some bureaucrats, with vested interest, to shift the bus stand from the present site and to diversify it at four different places, much away from the city. The association has however demanded that the announcement made in this behalf in the state assembly during last year's budget session in Jammu, should now be given a concrete shape, since the matter is still pending in the J&K High Court and those bureaucrats who had initiated this move are still trying to play the mischief. Thus an uncertainty still hangs over the heads of the traders in the city as well as among the people at large. Besides Mr. Ashwani Sharma others who attended the meeting were Rakesh Abrol, Chairman, Surinder Gupta, Senior Vice President, Nariender Kumar, General Secretary, Madhu Sharma, Vice President, Rajesh Gandhotra, Vice President etc.
