Girls outshine boys in 8th standard examination | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 4: The result of the 8th class is declared and this time too girls have proved themselves. As usual the girls again have scored higher marks and held better positions as compared to boys. It is pertinent to mention here that last year too girls had topped in the 8th class result. So it is very much clear from this that girls are doing well than boys in almost every field. In spite of education, girls are also interested in many other activities. They are voluntary taking part in co-curricular activities like sports, Arts and Culture, National Cadet Corps (NCC), Police Force, and in fields like Journalism, Teaching and Aviation. Although education is gradually rising in our state but still there are many areas which are vacant of complete education. Taking about girls especially of the rural areas their families do not allow them to go school which creates hurdle in the all round development of the state. Also these uneducated girls many time becomes victims of criminals and other corrupt peoples due to their illiteracy. When contacted Social activist Deep Singh said that beside the problem of illiteracy there is another big problem that is the health of the women. This is mainly due to the careless attitude of their families towards them.
