| Bazigar community raises demands | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 4: State President Bazigar community and member of Advisory Board for OBCs (J&K) Mukhtitya Kalia was given warm welcome at Gusain Chadwal in District Kathua.
Mukhtiya Kalia while addressing a large gathering of the Bazigar community highlighted the demands of Bazigar Community in J&K. Kalia advised his community people to educate their children for the eradication of social evils. He also asked them to take active part in the upcoming Panchayat election.
Baila Ram and Sat Paul put forth several demands which included opening of Anganwadi Centre at Bazigar Basti Gusain Chak Chadwal, laying of water pipes for drinking water, issuance of state subjects to the community people, issue of BPL cards to houseless and landless Bazigar nomads alongwith construction of Nallah and drain alongside the road Gusain Chak and Nathal Chak in district Kathua.
Among others who spoke on the occasion included Som Raj, Bitu Ram, Papu Ram, Swarn Lal, Harbans Lal, Jeet Raj, Kashmir Lal, Om Parkash, Johnny Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Bachan Lal and Bodh Raj also spoke on the meeting and apprised community member about the education of their children.
