Dy CM reviews work on Dal Development Projects | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Apr 4: A high level meeting of officers was today held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand and took stock of many Dal Development projects presently under execution. Meeting was attended by Commissioner SMC, Mushtaq Ahmad, SDA Chairperson Dilshada Khan, and the officers of UEED, Chief Town Planner and local bodies. Deputy Chief Minister was informed that last year Rs. 6.80 crore have been spent on the construction of lanes and drains while Rs. 2.8 crore have been incurred on the construction of 9 community halls. Besides Rs. 37.50 lakh has been booked on the installation of street lights in the Srinagar city. Meeting was also informed that 292 development schemes taken by SMC have been completed. While taking stock of urban environment engineering sector, meeting was told that so far Rs. 50 lakh have been spent on drainage and sewerage line of Srinagar Brari Nambal while Rs. 2 crore has been incurred on Khushal Sar drainage and sewerage line. So far 1484 meters have been completed. Later, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the officers to continue work of removing encroachment in Srinagar city. On this occasion, he stressed upon the officers for keeping close coordination on the grass root level between various concerned agencies.
