Teach Sanskrit language in govt schools, demands Sangh | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 4: Dogri Pujari Jyotish Shastri Sangh has demanded that Sanskrit language be taught in all Government and private schools from primary level throughout Jammu region and camp schools of displaced Pandits. Sanskrit being the origin of all Indian languages is being given a raw deal by government, president of the Sangh Ram Paul Shastri told reporters here today. He expressed concern over the plight of Brahmin students and youth especially living in rural areas. He also demanded enhancement the remuneration of Pujaris. He said that Sangh, which came into being two years back is wedded to popularizing Sanskrit language, throughout the Jammu region to restore its old glory. He said that besides propagating Sanskrit language, Sangh is working to train the Brahmin students in Karamkand by organizing special classes so that they can their livelihood easily. Shastri ji said it is a cause of concern that the Brahmin youth are working as domestic labourer at present while others, have fallen a prey to bad company. He alleged that the organizations which were constituted tolook after the cause of the Brahmin community have become the battle grounds of politics. He also urged the Brahmin organizations to work for the cause of community to make the Brahmin community economically prosperous instead of wasting their money on political issues. Other present in the press conference included Chander Mohan Shastri Vice president of the Sangh, Desraj Pujari General Secretary, Devan Chand Pujari Secretary, Hans Raj Pujari Bharat Bhushan Pujari, Joginder Shastri, Sham Lal Mishra Shatri and Makhan Lal, Pujari, Mahesh Sharma, Press Secretary Rattan Lal Sharma.
