| Bhalla releases “Lahoo Ka Rang Ik Jaisa” | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, APRIL, 05: Minister for revenue and relief, Raman Bhalla released Sudha Jain Anjum’s Hindi novel “Lahoo Ka Rang Ik Jaisa” at a function held at Abhinav theatre here on Tuesday. Organised by Academy of Art, Culture and Languages the book release function was presided over by DIG, Jammu, Farooq Ahmad Khan.
Apart from releasing the novel, an audio CD entitled “Aur Kya” was also released on the occasion. The audio CD contains ghazal’s and songs of Sudha Anjum and Sunil Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion Bhalla appreciated the efforts of Cultural Academy in promotion of cultural diversity of the state and said that as a repository of culture the Academy should continue its mission.
DIG, Farooq Khan also applauded the Cultural Academy for its role in promotion and propagation of culture and said that it was because of institutions like the Academy that the culture of the state was being appreciated across frontiers.
Earlier in her welcome address additional secretary Cultural Academy, Jammu, Savita Bakshi said that as custodian of culture the Cultural Academy would continue to work for promotion of the collective art and culture of the state.
