CS for pacing up work on Jammu, Sgr sewerage projects | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, APRIL 05: Chief Secretary, Mr. Madhav Lal today asked the concerned agencies to work out solutions to the bottlenecks coming in the way of on time completion of Rs. 262.15 crore sewerage treatment projects in the mission cities of Jammu and Srinagar. Chairing a review meeting in this regard, the Chief Secretary expressed concern over the delay in the completion of the projects which he described as the vital components of future urban infrastructure. He asked the Principal Secretary, Housing & Urban Development to convene a meeting of all the executing agencies like PHE, UEED, BSNL, NBCC etc and work out a comprehensive plan for realignment of supply lines and cables. The Chief Secretary also reviewed other works being executed by NBCC in the State which includes construction of Degree Colleges, Solid Waste Management plants at Bhaderwah, Doda, Sunderbani etc. and other works under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) and asked for their in time completion. Among others, present in the meeting were, Principal Secretary, Housing & Urban Development, Mr. Suresh Kumar, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NBCC, Mr. V. P. Das and other officers.
