ADDC convenes DLRC meeting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, APRIL 05- District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of Jammu District held here today at Hotel Savoy residency road Jammu under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner, Jammu, Mr. D R Sharma to review the performance of Banks with regard to achievements under Annual credit plan of 2010-11 and also to review the position of deposits and advances of all banks in the district. During the meeting threadbare review of all Government sponsored schemes such as PMEGP, SGSY, SJSRY, JKSES, Handloom, Handicraft etc with the focus on MSME, SHG’s, DIR, KCC, WOMEN BENEFICIRIES. The ADDC called upon all the Departments and Banks to galvanize their efforts and give boost to the rural credit dispensation particularly by way of KCC, DEDS, SHG’s and farmers club. He expressed his anguish, as the interest charged on KCC is not uniform with all the Banks and the matter needs to be addressed earliest. He said while as the deposits of all commercial Banks as on ending December, 210 stood at Rs.12500 crores, advances of all Banks stood at Rs.4095 crores, thus achieving a CD ratio of 32.76%. The chairman expressed his displeasure over the declining trend of low CD ration, he exhorted upon all the Banks to take immediate remedial steps to arrest the fall in CD ratio. He further advised to the sponsoring agencies to organize awareness camps especially in villages to expand their orbit so that more and more people are educated, motivated and facilitated to initiate self-employment enterprises.
