PDP held strong demonstration against hike in admission fee | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, April 5: Jammu and Kashmir People Democratic Party held a demonstration at Kachi Chawni Chowk , which was lead by Vikram Singh, Girish Sharma and Pankaj Gupta leaders of PDP against the high charges of admission fee. Even the monthly fee, charges of uniform, school dairies and even school bags are being provided by the school authorities and the Jammu and Kashmir government has failed to put a ban on the administration. They also said that the government teachers are holding private tuitions, coaching the students privately, which has been further given a jolt to the unemployed youth who could otherwise run private tuition centers. Vikram Singh has warned the administration of state government to take serious steps regarding this and not to play with the future of unemployed teachers. While addressing the protest, Girish Sharma said that the Private schools were charging huge amount of admission fees from parents during the admission. Infact the school management has established their own book shops and uniforms in the Schools. The schools have directed the parents to purchase the books and uniforms from the school and the school authorities charge 40-50 percent high than the market price. The Protesters also demanded reservation up to 20% for minorities’ students in private schools and to check the hike in admission fee and school fee.
