Various associations lend their support to the EJAC protest in April 7

JAMMU, April 5: In a joint press release issued by the various Govt. / Departmental unions/associations such as PHE Workers Welfare association, J&K Govt. housing Department Employees Union, PHE Department Driver Cleaners Union, J&K Govt. Handicraft Department Employees Union, Municipal Workers Union, PHE Employees and workers association, United School Teachers Federation, National State Govt. Employees Federation, Estate Department Employees Union have given full support to the proposed "Protest Demonstration" programme which is to be held on 7thof April 2011 at all Districts and Tehsil head quarters under the banner of J&K Govt. Employees Joint Action Committee in support of the long pending demands of the J&K Govt. serving employees as well as the pensioners.

It may be noted that the employees have been demanding the release of arrears of sixth pay commission in cash in two equal installments, regularization of all sorts of temporary workers after 5 years service, removal of pay anomalies of various left out cadres, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years and release of 10% & 6% D.A in cash which is due from July 2010 and January 2011 etc.


The Spoke person of EJAC has made an appeal to all sections of government
Employees to assemble in maximum strength at their Tehsil headquarters and make the protest demonstration programme a grand success so that the State government be forced to solve the pending demands of the employees.

The employees of Jammu Tehsil are going to assemble near Press Club Jammu on 7th of April 2011 at 10:30 ,A.M. The heads of the association/unions who have issued the Joint Press release are Mis Satish Sharma, Baldev Singh, StIh Verma, Swarn Singh, Rattan Doshi, Prem Singh (Bawa), Suman Sharma, Jagdish Raj an Jarnail Khokhar
