| ‘Pending promotion cases should be cleared immediately’ | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, April 5: J&K Anganwari workers and helpers union organised demonstration in front of directorate social welfare, Jammu to press the authorities of the department for immediate holding of departmental promotion committee meeting to clear all the pending promotion demands.
The anganwari workers said that the department have miserably fail to settle this pending demand of promotion of anganwari workers as supervisor which has already been made in all the districts Kashmir province.
Recently on 23rd of march 2011 a massive protest was held at Jammu infront of directorate of social welfare department, Jammu for clearance of honorarium and pending rent of the ICDS centres. After protest meeting of the representatives of ICDS workers was held with the director social welfare, Jammu who promised to clear all the pending claims of honorarium and rent before 31st march 2011.
Regarding DPC meeting director assured that meeting will be held on 2nd April 2011 to clear all the promotions which has not been made. So the workers are left with no alternative except to protest against the delaying policy of the director and higher authorities.
Activists of J&K Anganwari workers and helpers and union from various blocks of Jammu division gathered outside directorate and raised slogan in favour of their demands.
