| Batote observes complete shut down | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 5: Demanding tehsil status, ITI and Degree Colleges, Batote town of mountainous Ramban district today observed complete peaceful Bandh.
Various political and non-political parties today jointly gave a call for Batote bandh and took out a peaceful procession demanding tehsil status to the town besides ITI and Degrees colleges.
Hundreds of people including political leaders supported by locals unanimously observed complete shut down in protest against their demand of tehsil status to Batote town of Ramban district and ITI, Degree Colleges.
Meanwhile, the traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was not disrupted due to the demonstrations at Batote. The protestors later, handed over a memorandum to the Assistant Commissioner Relief (ACR) Batote Naseem Choudhary. |
