Seven jawans hurt in grenade blast at Nowshera

EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 5: A grenade exloded during a practice session in a firing range near Nowshera in Rajouri Monday, resulting in injuries to at least seven army jawans.
Police sources said the jawans were injured when a grenade exploded in the hands of sepoy L Balaji of 5 Madras while he was learning techniques of throwing grenade in Panara firing range of Nowshera.
While Balaji was critically hurt, six others sustained injuries as the grenade splinters hit them.
Four of the other injured jawans were identified as Havaldar IP Yogesh, Havaldar Pinki Raj, sepoy Manju Nath and sepoy Raji.
The injured were admitted to military hospital, Rajouri. A Court of Inquiry had been ordered into the incident.
