JAMMU, Apr 5: An ex-Sarpanch and Congress worker today allegedly beat up a man at Arnas after he refused to cast vote in his favour in the upcoming panchayat elecions.
Police sources said ex-sarpanch Kewal Singh allegedly beat up Jyoti Parkash after he refused vote him in the upcoming panchayat polls.
Police had booked Kewal under sections 323 and 339 of RPC and arrested him. After his arrest, his supporters held a demonstration against the Reasi SHO, demanding his immediate release. |
