Srinagar, Apr 6 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party leader and former Minister, Qazi Mohammad Afzal, Wednesday, alleged that National Conference was misusing official machinery in Ganderbal to win the Panchyat polls.Talking to KNS, Afzal said, “A candidate from Baderkund Ganderbal, Ghulam Rasool won Panchyat election uncontested. The opposing candidate withdrew his nomination. But now the NC workers are forcing district administration to go for re-election which is totally unjustified.”“Even the candidate who won uncontested is being harassed by the NC workers,” he alleged.However, the Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Showkat Ahmad Mir, rebutted the allegations. “This is no issue as the polls are being held on non-party basis. Still if there is any problem, they should approach district administration and we will look into the matter,” he told KNS.
