| Court frames corruption charges against forest guard | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 06: Special judge anti-corruption, Jammu, A K Koul today framed charges against forest guard Ikhlaq Ahmad who was caught red-handed by state vigilance organisation while demanding and
accepting Rs 15,000 from the complainant for sanction of timber. On June 30 last year, a trap was laid by SVO on the complaint of Zulafkar Ali in which he alleged that his brother-in-law Mushtaq
Ahmed needed timber for repair of his house at Patnazi. An application was then submitted to the forest guard, who allegedly demanded Rs 15,000 from the complainant for sanction of timber.
The court today framed chargs against the guard under section 5(1) (d) of PC Act 2006 and under section 161 of RPC. ( JNF)
