Jail supdtt, cop sent to judicial custody | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 06: Jail superintendent Mirza Salim Beigh and cop Surinder Kumar, who were arrested for their alleged involvement in the hiring of contract killers by the jailed Nagar Singh to eliminate witnesses in the Amandeep murder case, were today sent to judicial custody. Mirza was Kot-Bhalwal jail superintendent when he was alleged to have helped Nago to speak to contract killers from inside the jail on a mobile phone. Surinder was alleged to have carried money to distribute among the contract killers, besides carrying Nago's messages for his acquaintances outside the jail. He was Mirza's PSO at Kot-Bhalwal jail. They were produced by police in the court of special municipal magistrate, Jammu, S S Bali with the prayer for remanding the accused to judicial custody for 15 days. The judge, however, sent them for eight days judicial remand.The judge also granted four days further police remand of Sunny Choudhary. ( JNF)
