| Baglihar project to shut down for inspection | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 6 :- The Jammu and Kashmir government will shut down the 450 MW Baglihar hydro-electric Power project to carry out the inspection of the project tomorrow. "It is being intimated that a shutdown on April 7 from 10 AM to 5 PM is being availed for conducting a thorough inspection tomorrow," Chief Engineer Generation (PDC) Baglihar Hydroelectric Project Chanderkote B S Jamwal said today. The technical experts panel will be carrying out thorough inspections of draft tube, gates and machine Number 3 of the project, he said. In view of the shutdown, the Power Development Department may impose additional curtailment in Jammu province in order to restrict the load within the schedule.
