| Govt. to set up 11 ANM/GNM Schools: Sham | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, APRIL 07: Minister for Health & Family Welfare Mr Sham Lal Sharma reviewed the progress of establishing ANM and GNM Schools in the State at a meeting of officers held here today.
It was revealed in the meeting that location for setting up 4 ANM Schools and 3 GNM Schools has been finalized and their DPRs have been formulated. These schools will be established at Bandipora, Budgam, Kishtwar, Reasi, Jammu, Pulwama and Kargil in the first phase. During the second phase 4 more schools will be set up for which the locations are being identified.
The Minister was informed that Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has already released Rs. 40 crore for setting up of 6 ANM Schools and 5 GNM Schools in the State for which the State Government has accorded concurrence to the signing of MOU with the Government of India.
Mr. Sham directed the concerned officers to complete the formalities at the earliest and start the construction work at the earliest. He asked for completing the projects in time bound manner.
Director, NRHM Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Director Health Services, Kashmir/Jammu Dr. Saleem, Dr. Ashok Sharma, Director ISM Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar, Managing Director, J&K Housing Board Mr. Daleep Thussu and other officers of Health Department were present in the meeting.
