| Big 94-run win for AG in CGEWCC Cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, April 07: Accountant General (AG) XI registered a big 94 runs victory over Indian Institute of Integrated Medicine (IIIM) in the ongoing Cricket Tournament of Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) at MA Stadium, here today.
Batting first, after winning the toss, AG XI set a target of 184 runs for the loss of two wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Ravi Kant was top scorer with 91 runs while Ashwani Gupta contributed unbeaten 68. From IIIM, Manjeet claimed one wicket.
Later, IIIM could not chase the total and bowled out for 89 runs. Baljinder and Deepak were main scorers with 25 and 17 runs respectively. Banjuman added 18 runs. From AG XI, Amritpal and Ajay claimed three wickets each while Anup took two.
Meanwhile, in another scheduled match of the day, Railways got walkover the combined side of Radio and Doordarshan.
