Bar Association calls on CM

JAMMU, APR08 – The Jammu Bar Association led by its President, B. S. Slathia called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah last evening and presented him charter of their demands.
The Association highlighted the issues relating to the welfare of advocates. The charter of demands presented by the Association to the Chief Minister included the demands for Lawyers Club at Jammu, fixing time line for completion of Lawyers Chambers, enactment of J&K Advocate Welfare Act, enhancing the strength of High Court Judges, filling up of the vacancies of Judges and enhancing the Courts of Sub-ordinate Judiciary in Jammu.
The Association also requested the Chief Minister’s visit to High Court Complex, Jammu and District Court Complex.
